Basic Principles Class

Come join designer & founder of Minnie + George, L.A. Caldwell, as she provides guided and hands-on instruction on traditional leather-working techniques needed for handbag and accessory construction.

In this 1.5 hr class, you'll learn:

  • How to cut and prep leather to sew.
  • How to use the basic tools needed to practice traditional leather-working.
  • How to saddle-stitch.
  • How to apply protective finishes.

All needed supplies and leather are provided for the class. In addition to learning the basic principles of traditional leather work, students will leave with a small project to construct on their own.
